One of the best pieces of advice I received after my son, Dallas, was diagnosed with Williams syndrome was this:
"Don't let them put him in a box."
Those words have stayed with me throughout our journey.
Dallas is more than his diagnosis. He isn't Williams syndrome—he's a little boy who happens to have Williams syndrome. The same is true for so many children living with disabilities, rare diseases, and medical conditions. Their diagnosis is only one part of their story. It does not define their worth, their potential, or who they are.
This design is a reminder to see the child before the diagnosis—to celebrate every milestone, every personality, every dream, and every victory.
